Part-Time Advanced Practice Provider

Job Description: 

We're looking for a hard worker to play a vital role in improving patient outcomes while working as a valuable part-time Advanced Practice Provider within our Medrina healthcare family!

Objective/Purpose:

At Medrina, we recognize the critical role that Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) play in delivering comprehensive healthcare services. As a Part-Time Advanced Practice Provider (Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner), your objective will be to provide high-quality patient care, collaborate with the healthcare team, and contribute to our mission of improving patient outcomes. Qualifications: 

  • Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program.
  • Valid state licensure and certification as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner.
  • Proven clinical experience as an Advanced Practice Provider, preferably in a primary care or specialty setting.
  • Strong clinical and diagnostic skills with the ability to develop effective treatment plans.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Dedication to providing patient-centered care with a focus on compassion, empathy, and respect.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying abreast of the latest medical advancements.

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history reviews, physical examinations, and ordering diagnostic tests.
  • Diagnose and treat common acute and chronic illnesses, injuries, and conditions within the scope of practice.
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans, including prescribing medications, therapies, and lifestyle modifications.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure continuity.
  • Educate patients and their families on disease management, preventive care, and healthy lifestyle choices.
  • Perform procedures, such as wound suturing, casting, and joint injections, as appropriate to the scope of practice and training.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Stay current with medical advancements, evidence-based practices, and professional development activities.
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, research projects, and educational programs as required.
